Swimming, diving to face Utah
Teams coming off losses at UNLV

The men's and women's swimming and diving squads will take on the University of Utah on Friday in a Mountain West Conference match up.
The meet will begin at 6 p.m. in the University Recreation Center.
Both the men's and women's teams are looking to add to the win column after losses at the University of Nevada Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Head coach Richard Sybesma said the squads are happy to be home and are looking forward to Friday's meet.
"Utah's got a really strong program and our men are very equal and their women are pretty tough," Sybesma said. "We're gonna have to really perform well to defeat them on Friday."
The men's overall record fell to 1-5 with their 184-113 loss at UNLV and they are winless in the MWC at 0-4.
The women's overall record stands at 4-3 with a 2-3 mark against conference opponents after falling 166-134 against UNLV.
Impressive individual performances have not translated into team wins at times this season. This is a trend that head coach Richard Sybesma said he hopes to correct starting with the meet against Utah.
"We really preach team here at TCU and obviously if the team wins everybody wins," he said. "We're real pleased that we're able to compete in events, but we want to win as a team as well."
The men's team also added two new swimmers for the spring semester. Freshmen Laszlo Gyurko of Hungary and Friedrich Grott of Germany will be great assets to the team, Sybesma said.
After Friday's meet against Utah the teams have home meets scheduled against San Diego State University and Centenary College of Louisiana on Saturday Jan. 17 in the University Rec Center.
