Football game pushed up due to weather concerns

The start of the Saturday's football game versus the Stanford University Cardinal has been changed from 6 p.m. to noon due to possible severe weather in the evening caused by Hurricane Ike.

According to the National Weather Service's Web site as of 6 p.m. Wednesday, there is a 70 percent chance of rain with wind gusts of 35 to 50 mph Saturday night.

The Saturday afternoon forecast has a 60 percent chance of precipitation with wind gusts of 15 to 45 mph. Rain is predicted to start around 1 p.m.

The contest will be televised nationally on The Mtn. (DIRECTV Channel 616) and will be heard on the TCU ISP Sports Network at 103.3 ESPN, 88.7 KTCU and GoFrogs.com.
