Quarterbacks

TCU: Andy Dalton might have not thrown a touchdown in the season-opener last week, but he did a better job of running the offense and ran the ball effectively when pressured out of the pocket.

SFA: Sophomore quarterback Jeremy Moses threw for 280 yards and six touchdowns in the Lumberjacks' season-opening 56-19 win against Langston. Moses also ran for another score.

Advantage: TCU

Runningbacks

TCU: The Horned Frogs had five rushers combine for 171 yards and three touchdowns. Joseph Turner averaged 4.2 yards per rush and scored a touchdown on eight carries.

SFA: The Lumberjacks combined for just 19 net yards in last week's game. Junior running back Tyron Ross rushed for 22 yards on five attempts.

Advantage: TCU

Wide Receivers

TCU: Eight different wide receivers made catches against New Mexico. Jimmy Young and Walter Bryant both made four catches, but Young led the team in yards with 44.

SFA: Five receivers caught two or more passes. Senior Tyrel Williams, who redshirted last season, made his presence felt by catching seven passes for 89 yards and a touchdown.

Advantage: TCU

Offensive Line

TCU: Blake Schlueter led the offensive line that allowed just two sacks last week and gave Dalton plenty of time in the pocket to make smart decisions.

SFA: Junior Chris Garrison transferred to Stephen F. Austin from Mesa Community College and helped give Moses enough time in the pocket to throw for six touchdowns.

Advantage: TCU

Defensive Line

TCU: The Frogs combined for five sacks in the game against UNM. Junior Jerry Hughes had one of those sacks and had three tackles to go along with a forced fumble, fumble recovery and interception. Hughes earned Mountain West Conference Player of the Week honors for week one.

SFA: Junior Tim Knicky had two of the team's three sacks, made six tackles and forced a fumble. Knicky was named to the preseason All-Southland conference team.

Advantage: TCU

Linebackers

TCU: The linebacker trio of Jason Phillips, Robert Henson and Darryl Washington combined for 20 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Henson had nine of those tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss.

SFA: Sophomore Jabara Williams made six tackles and had a forced fumble in last week's game. Williams was the second-leading rusher for the Lumberjacks last season due to all of the injury problems at the position.

Advantage: TCU

Defensive Backs

TCU: TCU's secondary allowed just seven completions for 130 yards against the Lobos. Redshirt freshman Tekerrein Cuba made four tackles in his debut for the Horned Frogs.

SFA: The Lumberjack secondary allowed 195 yards through the air and three touchdown passes last week. The unit is lead by sophomore Chad Haynes, who had seven tackles in the season opener.

Advantage: TCU

Special Teams

TCU: Freshman Evan Ross had a great start to his college career, making a 50-yard field goal, but then proceeded to miss a 20-yard field goal and an extra point. Ross rebounded to make a 30-yard attempt and another extra point in his debut.

SFA: Senior Cory Long connected on all eight of his extra-point attempts during the first game. Long came into the season with 154 career points.

Advantage: TCU

Coaching

TCU: Gary Patterson led his team into a rowdy stadium against the Lobos and allowed just three points, winning the team's conference opener.

SFA: J.C. Harper won his first game as the head coach of the Lumberjacks last week against Langston. The win ended an 11-game losing streak for Stephen F. Austin.
