Brad Thompson, student activities coordinator, said the 6,000 pound, 46-foot tree will be lifted by a 168,000-pound crane up and over the Brown-Lupton University Union Auditorium to place it in the BLUU Plaza on Nov.

In his November 12th letter to the editor, David Coon makes several arguments in support of his anti-gay marriage stance, all of which are based on faulty assumptions.

Firstly, Coon states that "the state is really nothing more than the hand of society," and so should not support values that go against that society, in this case referring specifically to same-sex marriage.

New tuition system should be re-evaluated 1

Daily Skiff, Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX

10 hours ago by Katie Martinez

As tuition rates continue to rise at an alarming rate, it is time that university officials re-evaluate the flat-rate tuition policy that requires students to pay the same price for 18 hours as if they were only taking 12 or 15.

The plan was promoted as one that would encourage students to graduate on time, but it also lines the university's pockets with money for nothing.
